We understand there are situations that force all of us to miss a meeting. We have established the following confirmation policy. For all meetings, we will do all we can to avoid a "missed meeting charge", but please understand restaurants have food ordering deadlines. We thank you for your understanding.
If you are confirmed for a meeting and do not show up, the full non-member course fee will be charged to you since the Dental Society is responsible for paying for your dinner. Any cancellation must be received by Dr. Rich by Monday at 5:00 pm the week of the meeting or you will also be charged for your dinner.

Lawrence County Dental Society
Biography:
Dr. Richard Bauer is a native of the Pittsburgh area. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Medical School and the school of Dental Medicine. After graduating from Dental School, Dr. Bauer completed his six-year residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Starting as a dental student, Dr. Bauer has always had a passion for giving back to his profession through his involvement and leadership within his professional organizations. He was the vice-president of ASDA (American Student Dental Association) then President of the Resident Organization of AAOMS (American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons). He then went on to participate in numerous professional committees for ASDA, AAOMS and OMSNIC.
Dr. Bauer currently serves as a consultant for several medical device companies in his field. He is also an Advisory Board Member for the OMS National Insurance Company (OMSNIC). He has lectured, presented and performed hands-on training courses all over the United States as well as internationally. He was recently invited to join the McGuire Institute, a highly recognized not-for-profit organization with the mission of providing clinical research at the highest level of skill and integrity.
Dr. Bauer was previously a full-time faculty member and Residency Program Director at the University of Pittsburgh in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery focusing on dental implants and corrective jaw surgery. He has been active in research with focuses on hard and soft tissue regeneration and computer assisted surgery.
Dr. Bauer is a board certified Oral Surgeon. He also maintains his membership and participation in the following professional and scientific societies:

Biography:
Timothy M. Bizga, DDS, FAGD is a general dentist practicing in Cleveland, Ohio. His background in dentistry is lengthy and diverse. Once a former chairside assistant, he also worked as a dental lab-technician, making his perspective unique among others in the field of dentistry. He received his DDS from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry . He is currently a member of the American Dental Association and a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Bizga is a Certified John Maxwell Speaker/Trainer/Coach , a certified DISC profile trainer , clinical consultant for The Dental Advisor and member of Catapult Education . Dr. Bizga gives back to the community via dental mission around the world.
Course Description:

Speaker Biography:
Dr. Hugh Flax is internationally known for his leadership in cosmetic dentistry. An Accredited member and Past President of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), he has lectured and authored in Europe, Japan, Canada, and the United States on lasers, smile design, and advanced restorative techniques to enhance the skills of dental teams in making their care world class for their patients.
He is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry and has also been the Chairperson of many AACD meetings, as well as, founding the Georgia Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Outside of the AACD, Dr. Flax is a ten-year member of Catapult Education Speakers Group and a certified Fellow with World Clinical Laser Institute. In addition, he is a Master with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), a Diplomate of the American Board of Aesthetic Dentistry (ABAD), and a Kois Center graduate. Lastly, he is visiting faculty at the Dental School of Georgia.
Recently, Dr. Flax published a consumer book called “A Smile is Always in Style” to help those looking for a better smile and dental wellness to be more educated and savvier with their choices for their best results. Proceeds from the book go to educational scholarships.
